Pixar’s Coco is all about family

As we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, we felt that it was only fair to ring it in with Pixar's Coco. 

 

If you couldn't tell from the name of our podcast or our last names, this is a particular special time for us to reflect on our own Latin heritage and how its shaped us into who we are today. 

 

It was a senior level Latino Politics class, at the University of North Texas, that initially connected the two of us in 2016. 

 

In this spoiler-heavy discussion, we talk about our personal connections to this 2017 film and why it does such a wonderful job at expressing how family is such an integral part to the Hispanic/Latin community.
